Shop ‘til you drop!

Last Thursday after school, my mom and I drove down to Buffalo NY to hit the stores for some Christmas shopping.  We didn’t find too much for the people on our lists, but we did do pretty well with things for ourselves!

I mostly brought back clothes, but I did get one very special thing:

When I walked into the Kate Spade store in Buffalo, I was in heaven.  I just love the preppy-cute shapes and not-too trendy styles that Kate Spade offers, and they were having a MEGA sale!  So I quickly sent a text to Adam, suggesting that I bring home a Christmas present.  Luckily, they had exactly what I was looking for: neutral colour, roomy-but-not-too-big, and can fit easily onto my shoulder.  I’ll post a picture of the actual bag after Christmas, I’m so excited!!

After my cleaning spree on Friday afternoon I rested and relaxed until Saturday night, when Adam and I hit the town for a fun night out.

We had a bit of a mix-up with our dinner, and ended up at a pub near the Eaton Centre.  From there it was just a short walk to the Canon Theatre to see one of my favourite musicals:

This was Wicked’s 2nd time around in Toronto, and it was just as good as the first!! The tickets were a birthday present from my parents-in-law, and I really enjoyed seeing the show a second time around.

On our walk back to the car we came upon these window displays:

Every holiday season the Hudson’s Bay Company (The Bay) puts together fun window displays in their flagship store on Queen Street in Toronto.  This year they are village scenes, complete with dancing figures, and lit up houses.  It’s always fun to see what they come up with each year!

Comments

  1. I loooove Wicked! I’ve seen it twice, and I’d gladly see it again!

  2. How funny – I went with my mom and sister on the Saturday to see Wicked! Love that musical. Jealous of your shopping trip though!
