In my freezer, where else?
Last week we decided to order some beef from a local farm. On Tuesday, a lovely lady from Swain Beef delivered me this bag:
We ordered the “Weeknight Favourites” package, that comes with:
-
12 lb Ground Beef
-
1 pkg of 2 Sirloin steaks
-
1 pkg Stir Fry Strips
-
4.3 lb Boneless Blade Roast
-
3.7 lb Boneless Cross Rib Roast
-
3.5 lb Outside Round Roast
I defrosted the stir fry strips and made them for dinner last night. I browned the strips in a frying pan, added carrots, and frozen broccoli, peas, and corn. I added the better part of this sauce:
and let it all cook together. I served it over some brown rice for a very yummy and very filling meal.
Also? When packing your newly-delivered beef into the freezer, make sure you put everything back in to the freezer. Or else you will have to cook 2 huge roasts in your slow cooker, and eat roast beef for the rest of your life. Like me.
